Terms of Service
Last updated May 23, 2026
These terms govern your use of Spotting The Bait. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them on behalf of your organization.
The service
Spotting The Bait sends simulated phishing emails to staff you enroll and reports on how they respond, to help train your team to recognize real attacks. The simulated emails are training material and are not actual attacks.
Acceptable use
- You may only enroll people you are authorized to train — typically your own employees or contractors — and you are responsible for informing them that they may receive simulated phishing emails.
- You may not use the service to harass, deceive for personal gain, or target anyone outside your own organization.
- You may not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
Accounts & security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Billing & trial
New accounts include a 14-day free trial. After the trial, the service is billed per active seat per month through Stripe. Seat counts are based on your active roster; adding staff above your plan increases the next invoice. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Your data
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data. You retain ownership of the roster and content you provide, and grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service for you.
Availability & disclaimers
We work to keep the service available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the training will prevent any particular security incident.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or to protect the service or its users. On termination, we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Impaque is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
